Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire is a Disney Channel movie released on 13 October 2000. Adam Hansen and his chum Duffy are in a fix. They have got tickets for a concert but they have been punished, for none else than the centuries old reason of not having completed the homework. Meanwhile Adam’s sis Chelsea Hansen is to go to a date but she has also been punished for calling his brother a nerd. They must come up with a clever plan to send their mother out of the house, so as to pursue their own programs. The plan comes in the shape of Dimitri. Dimitri wants to take their mother Lynette out on a date. They are overjoyed but their happiness is short-lived. Adam’s brother Taylor breaks the bomb shell that Dimitiri is a Vampire.
As the Mom gets a date with Vampire Hansens follow the couple. At the restaurant Adam runs a fake test to confirm whether Dimitri is a Vampire or not. It takes a little time before it is confirmed that Dimitri is indeed a Vampire. A professional is called to deal with the situation. Meanwhile Dimitri has taken Lynette to his mansion and has cast a spell on her. As the group follows the Vampire to his mansion, they are able to get Lynette out of trance and Dimitri is put in the coffin again. The coffin is sealed with the silver nails.
Lynette gives hint that she knew that Dimitri was a Vampire and is testing the kids instead. Mom’s real date is ghost buster guy. All return to their home as the sun starts appearing on the horizon symbolizing the end of Vampire.
