No one can imagine any relation between selling cakes and mortgage payments, but desperate needs along comes with desperate measures and so is the case with Angela Logan a New Jersey resident and mother of three, who was in despite need of $2500 in just ten days to pay off her home mortgage and to qualify for the “President Obama’s Home Affordable Plan”, she started selling “Mortgage Apple Cakes” to collect the money.
Her plane was to sell 100 “Mortgage apple Cake’s” for $40 each; so that she could keep her 20-year-old home at Teaneck, N.J and after a week’s effort she managed to collect the money she needed but when her story hit the newspapers and media her orders went up to 600 cakes including an order from Hong Kong.
But problem started when Angela Logan received notice from public health office that according to the New Jersey state law no one is permitted to use their private resident to prepare food for commercial purpose, it was an impossible task to bake them in her small kitchen.
Angela Logan’s problem was solved when Josh Kaye stepped up to help her, Kaye founder member of “Bake Me A Wish”, the organizations sole purpose is to bake goods for charitable purposes offered Logan to use her kitchen to bake “Mortgage Apple Cakes” and took the responsibility of delivering the orders.
Her plane is going well and now she is in condition to renegotiate her loan and lower the mortgage of the house, she has plans to provide a handsome part of her sales to support those people who are in need.
