As the Halloween fever takes hold of us, anything scary is “in”. Halloween costumes, masks and surely movies are part and parcel of the fever. Mostly Ghostly is a fiction series aimed at youth written by world famous R.L Stine. The series included the stories like Who Let the Ghosts Out? And Have You Met My Ghoulfriend?
R.L Sine’s story “Who Let the Ghosts Out?” was turned into a 2008 film “Mostly Ghostly: Who Let the Ghosts Out?” The film starred Lindsay Lohan’s younger sister Ali Lohan. Max was 11 years old and was a laughing stock because of his belief on paranormal and his quest to be a magician. In a way his wish was granted as he encountered ghosts in his house. There happened to be a tunnel in the basement of the house, where the ghosts had been imprisoned by Phears. It so happened that two of the ghosts, Nicky and Tara become friends with Max. They even helped max to defeat his enemies. Max planned a magic show on Halloween. All the acts would be performed by Nicky, but as ghosts are not visible to others, it would look as if max is performing magic. It so happened that Phears pull Tara back in Tunnel. Nicky was informed and a plan is made by Max and Nicky. Max entered the tunnel. Phears couldn’t see him exactly as Max couldn’t see Phears!
On the day of Halloween Max and his girlfriend Tracy (Ali Lohan)plans are shattered because of Phears being able to break the wall of tunnel.
At the end Max was able to send Phears back to the core of earth as he cast a spell on him.
