Blame it on genes or perhaps Freudian psychology or some other disorder resulting in criminal behavior despite having seen someone else in family getting punished for his behavior. My stepson my lover is a poor execution of otherwise a good story. Rachel Ward is a nice and helpful attendant having learnt her hospitality lessons well. She gets married with a bald oldie, only to discover, he is a brutal and callous to the core. As the title My Stepson My Lover suggests the solace comes in the shape of his son – Joshua Morrow. It was soooo obvious seeing Joshua’s athletic body and well-formed pectoral muscles, making him unable to button his shirt properly and arms of winner of Mr. America competition that he would have something to with Rachel.
As everybody would have guessed it Rachel Wards falls for Josh resulting in equally badly executed two sex scenes between them. There cannot be two lions in one jungle one of them is bound to leave. Josh’s father gets murdered. The two obvious suspects are his wife and stepson. As detective Gardener progresses in his investigations the pair is found innocent and is acquitted.
The secrets do not remain secrets forever. Ward soon discovers that Josh is actually the murderer. Though she did not plan the incident Joshua falls from a cliff and is paralyzed!
The revelation that the son is as kinky in his behavior as his father makes it home that there are not short cuts in life and sometimes alternatives are as bad as the original options are.
