N D Tiwari’s Battle with Sex Scandal: Allegations, Denial, and Resignation!
N D Tiwari, governor of the Indian state Andhra Pradesh, resigns from his post a day after his sex scandal surfaced. According to the details, a local Telugu news channel broadcasted a report on December 25 in which a man was shown with three women. The ABN news channel reported that the man involved in the sex scandal is the governor of Andhra Pradesh, N D Tiwari. The channel also reported that a woman, who was named Radhika, sent the girls to the governor in return for a promise for mining projects. The woman claims that the promises were never fulfilled so she handed over the pictures to the media. Tiwari’s office denied the sex scandal accusations and called the pictures ‘a pile of lies’. Hours later, protests began outside governor’s office and the protestors demanded resignation from the governor. N D Tiwari’s men acted speedily and obtained a stay order from the High Court to stop the airing of the news.
Tiwari’s Sex Scandal: Congress Keeping a Mum
Indian Congress refused to comment on the sex scandal of N D Tiwari. Some party members are reported to be saying that he will have to go if there was any ‘iota of truth’ in the scandal. Congress spokesperson said that the matter is presented in the high court and it is a judicial matter now.
N D Tiwari’s Resignation
After a day-long battle with the taints and stings of sex scandal, N D Tiwari announced his resignation. However, it is reported that he quit the office due to ‘health issues’. The governor’s office has also rubbished the accusations.
N D Tiwari’s Political Career
Born on 1925, Narayan Dutt Tiwari has graduated in law from Allahabad University and was a topper of the institute. He has held several important political positions during his tenure. The 86-year-old politician was the last Congress CM of Uttar Pradesh and was the first elected CM of Uttarakhand. He was later appointed as the governor of Andhra Pradesh in 2007. The sex scandal brought a shameful end to N D Tiwari’s political career.
