The Electronic Payments Association have come to know that many people and companies are being sent fraudulent e-mails which are shown to be from NACHA . The fraudulent mails contain the message showing that their transaction has been dishonored. The e-mail also contains a link which diverts the person to open a new web page that is fake altogether but has astonishing resemblance with the NACHA web page.
The new web page contains virus. The association has advised to web users not to open the link. The users are advised to be aware of such mails that expose their computers with codes and software that are meant to deceive only. Such emails with such suspicious links should not be followed and the users have to be cautious of such web pages which seem quite similar to the original one.
The senders whom you do not know should be seen with doubt. NACHA has nothing to do with the processing of ACH transactions between the companies and financial institutions nor does it inform the individuals or companies about the status of such individual transactions. If such fraudulent code is identified, what a user has to do is just to get the assistance of a computer protection expert or anti-virus expert to get the things right on your computer.
The users are advised to select a good anti-virus software that automatically up-dates you about the presence of virus. The latest versions of operating systems and software should be used to root out the problem.
