
Unbelievable or just a daunt luck the four time champion Rafael Nadal’s 31-match winning streak at Roland Garros finally broke. Nadal loses to Soderling in the French Open 2009. It has been a long time that Rafael Nadal has not faced the defeat, but yesterday in French Open finally his luck ran out when he loses to Robin Soderling. The French Open 2009 match took place at Roland Garros court, Paris. For the tired sports journalists it has been quite a day as they witnessed the Nadal loses to Soderling.
In the fourth round of the French Open Nadal was up with 2-0, when Solderling broke back to love, for Nadal it was the time to collect himself and come back in the game but he was unable to capitalize and the set went to a tie break and this is the time when Solderling striked back with a beautiful backhand return, then it was Soderling turn to serve and he held his serve to lead the set 2-0, Rafael Nadal break back but it was Soderling’s day to shine he have five match points after rolling off four straight points, Nadal did tried to come back with a beautiful. Forehand shot down the line to save the first match point, but it was no use as Solderling hit an amazing passing shot which Nadal returned wide. Eventually Nadal loses to Soderling by “2-7, 7-6, 4-6, 6-7”.
