It’s hard to imagine Nancy Kissel’s almost total transformation, from a loving housewife and mother of three kids to a murderess. Sifting through a heap of papers on my table about the case of Robert Kissel and his murder by his wife Nancy Kissel, I am confused about the transformation. How could that be ? I can only guess and my best guess is on two factors, one Robert’s involvement with a man Michael Del Priore and second Nancy being away from her relatives in a totally new culture and new place. Having visited Hong Kong many times myself I confess that I find it difficult to grasp the cultural values of the natives. On the surface the society has embraced modernity, while underneath the people are steadfast on their cultural values.
My supposition instead of solving the mystery raises further questions. Was Robert gay? Had Nancy killed Robert for property? etc. etc.
Robert Kissel arrived in Hong Kong with her wife of three children Nancy in 1997 and yet when the couple visited America in 2003 Robert got involved with this technician. Nancy Kissel killed Robert in a highly publicized case called “Milkshake Murder”. Nancy accused Robert of being a money making machine, having no emotions. She also accused Robert of using her as sex machine not as a human being! Her accusation that Robert had physically abused the children was proved wrong.
My research shows that it was not for money and property, it cannot be. Was it to retain children as Nancy said that Robert was going to divorce her? Only time would tell.
