NASCAR Mexico Driver Pardo Killed in Crash on Sunday14th June 2009. Carlos Pardo was killed in brutal accident occurred just outside of Mexico City at “Autodromo Miguel E. Abed” in Pueblo, Mexico. NASCAR Mexico Driver Carlos Pardo was leading the race in the 97th lap when a competitor bumped him from behind and his car slid and bumped into the entrance wall at about 120 MPH speed.
Carlos Pardo was removed from the wreckage and was airlifted from the racetrack by a helicopter, he was pronounced dead 45 minutes after the accident according to NASCAR Mexico Web site. The race stopped after the accident, and he was declared winner of the race. In his careers, he participated in 74 races in the division, he had 10 victories and he was the 2004 champion of NASCAR Mexico. He finished 42nd at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City in the National Series in 2006. In the Camping World East 2004-2005 he took part in six races and finished on 11th position, it was Pardo’s careers best finish.
