October the most amazing and magical month of the year for U.S, you know why? Because we celebrate whole lot of National days in the month, like National Grouch Day, National Denim Day, Moldy Cheese Day, Columbus Day and several other day. And today is National Grouch Day.
Who would have imagined that there is going to be a “National Grouch Day” but still it happened and today is the big day. Talking about Grouch day the first thing that came to my mind is “Oscar the Grouch” from “Sesame Street”.
I rather vote against the day, because I have never like grouch people, although it would be great if you smile at someone who is grouchy and not feeling to give in his/her mood.
There has been no official announcement for this day like other days. It is to be assumed that It’s just a day for fun and in the mid of October, when weather is going to be chilly enough and everyone want to take a day off from the tiring and bored routine.
Sesame Street is definitely the origin and source of “National Grouch Day” and It is the day to cheers with the eminent irritable Grouch that are recognized and loved by all of us.
Every celebration always has a purpose and I think, the purpose of grouch day should be to make all the grouches happy and there shouldn’t be the idea of being a grouch on the day and to throw you in gloomy mood. If everyone will try to be gloomy and grumpy, it will be miserable for society. Some of you may not agree but that’s how think it should be.
Although today is “National Grouch Day” and no one should say nice things to anyone, but as per my mood I must say….Have a nice day!
