Three Navy SEALs asks for court martial. Three US Navy elite force members have been charged with assault. The Navy SEALs have been charged for assaulting and nabbing one Iraqi terrorist. The three elite force members refuse to accept the non-judicial sentences and have asked for court martial.
Mathew McCabe, Julio Huertas, and Jonathan Keefe arrested an Iraqi terrorist Ahmed Hashim Abed but instead of being awarded with honors, the three US SEALs get criminal charges. Abed is involved in planning the murder and mutilation of US secret agency BlackWater. The four BlackWater security guards were murdered in 2004 and their bodies were mutilated in Fallujah. Reportedly, Ahmed Hashim Abed was involved in making the plan of their murder. Hashim whose code-name was Objective Amber was arrested by the three SEALs. Abed told the investigators that his captors have hit him and punched him. To prove his claim, he showed his bloody lip. The SEALs commandos who arrested Abed have been charged with assault and abuse of power. Mathew McCabe is being charged with assault, unable to fulfill the duty to protect a detainee, and for making a wrong official statement. Two other officers, named Jonathan Keefe and Julio Huertas, have been charged with delinquency to fulfill the duty and making wrong official statement.
The three SEALs commandoes have requested independent court martial and have refused the criminal charges. The three officers will be brought before the court separately on December 7.
