The Big 12 championship game saw Ndamukong Suh playing the game of his life. He did a great defense and held the Texas to 13 points only. Though those 13 points became winning points for the Texas who defeated the Huskers with a 13-12 score but the football fans saw Suh playing the a great game. Ndamukong Suh had 12 tackles and sacked the Texas for 4 times out of nine sacks in total. The 300-pound player held Texas’ McCoy sacked and did an excellent job as defensive player. Even the Texas guard couldn’t keep him out of the backfield. He was dominant throughout the game and played as hard as he could. The Huskers’ coach Pelini paid compliments about Suh’s game and said that he is the best player in the country right now and he totally supports him for the Heisman trophy. Even the Texas coach couldn’t stop himself from praising for Ndamukong Suh and compared him to Gerald McCoy of Oklahoma. ‘He was all over the place and we just couldn’t handle him,’ says Mack Brown, coach of Texas. He said that he wanted to see him after the game to covey his good wished for his Suh’s NFL game. Texas’ McCoy was also impressed by his game and called him a ‘playmaker’.
Many sports critics from major sports newspapers praised Ndamukong Suh’s performance in the game and were of the view that there’s no doubt about his qualifications for Heisman Trophy.
