The New Mexico state University is an American institute. It was established in 1888.The College first started as an agricultural institute. It was formerly known as New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts. The universities have degrees such as associate degrees, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and doctoral degrees. The university receives many international students from Europe, Caribbean, Asia, and the Middle East.
The university has a number of departments which include the college of Arts and science, college of engineering, college of extended learning, college of health sciences, college of education, and college of nursing. The Department of engineering is affiliated with the Engineering council and board of engineering and technology. The university which started as an agricultural institute was changed into a multi study platform. The universities new study programs include the study of fashion, tourism, nutrition, environment and management. The university also receives grant from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. It is among the top fifty institutes who receive the grant annually.
New Mexico state university is also home to a men’s basketball team. It is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. They have a variety of sports organize by the university such as volleyball, soccer, Basketball, golf and Tennis. The New Mexico state university played against the Michigan State on Friday and couldn’t manage to win the match. The team plays the National Collegiate Athletic Association championship every year but hasn’t yet managed to reach the finals. The new Mexico state university lost by 3 points.
