Harvard University professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. who was arrested couple of weeks back for a disorderly conduct after confronting an officer at his Cambridge, Massachusetts home right outside the Harvard university is of “Niall of the Nine Hostages” descend. Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. an African-American, who is the director W. E. B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research at Harvard University, was arrested after he at his door step confronted an officer Sgt. James Crowley. Officer arrested the professor for loud and disorderly behavior in a public space, but four hours later was released from police custody.
Came out that professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. and Officer Sgt. James Crowley both traced their descent back to the legendary “Niall of the Nine Hostages”.
Professor Gates Jr. discovered his ancestry back in 2008 while hosting a PBS series, he discovered that he was the descendent from an Irish migrant and a black slave girl, thus his roots are linked with Ireland, he then went to Trinity College in Dublin to have a DNA test and found that 10 out of 11 DNA are related to Niall of the Nine Hostages, making him the offspring of fourth century warlord.
Sarcastically, the officer “Sgt. James Crowley” who arrested professor Gates Jr. shares the same fate with him as he also having very close ties to “Niall of the Nine Hostages”.
According to a research one out of twelve men in Ireland share the same fate and the count increases as we go closer to northwest of Ireland, the research said that around three million Irish-Americans are the direct descendants of the Irish “High King” at Tara, who ruled Ireland from 379 A.D to 405 A.D.
