Winter is here and most of the American States are being hit by furious winter storms. NJ is one of those states where winter is becoming harsher and due to weather forecasts most of the schools are either closed or delayed.
According to the details, Northwestern regions of the New Jersey state are facing furious winter storms. Some of the NJ regions will receive frozen precipitation and a mixture of snow and freezing rain. The National Weather service has issued warning messages about weather forecasts and has assigned weather advisories for Sussex, Morris, Warren, and Passaic regions of NJ. The advisory was issued on late Tuesday night. According to the forecasts, by Wednesday midnight heavy snow would accumulate. The weather agencies have predicted that up to 6 inches of snow can accumulate and has told that the highest amount of snow would accumulate in western Passaic County. The snow will eventually change into rain, according to the weather agencies.
Rain and snow are making roads slippery. Transport department’s crew is trying to prevent flood due to rain as water is accumulating in parking places. NJ schools in most of its counties have either closed or delayed due to the harsh weather. School districts in Blairstown and Butler counties of NJ have been closed while many schools have been delayed. These schools will open with a delay of at least 2 hours. Local news channels of NJ state have uploaded the list of schools which have been closed or delayed on their respective websites.
Many flights have also been delayed or cancelled due to poor weather conditions. Federal Aviation Administration has delayed the departure of flights from Newark Liberty International Airport.
