The basketball team of Syracuse was left defeated when one of their star players Arinze Onuaku suffered from an injury during the climax of the game which was going tough between the two teams Georgetown and Syracuse. The Onuaku injury occurred when he tripped to the floor hitting his knee hard against the solid floor. The injury jeopardized Syracuse’s ambitions of winning the national title as they will not make it to the semi-finals of the Big East Conference Tournament and will have to live with coming close.
The result of the match after the Onuaku injury was 91 to 84 for Georgetown as the team progressed to the semis and will be preparing for the big event. Though the injury looked like it might have fractured something in the process the doctors advised the player to rest after the Onuaku injury and said that they had taken X-rays of the area but the results showed that there was no broken bone or such. The problem, it turns out, is with the players quad tendon and to resolve it all he needs to do is take a lot of rest and not put excessive strain on the joint.
The Onuaku injury is not a new case in the history of the player who plays forward for the team as a similar incident took place in the summer season last year and has hindered his basketball potential considerably. After the inflammation of the of problem last year Arinze went through a surgery of the quad tendon but it seems like the fall has made the problem resurface much to the disappointment of his fellow teammates and his coach.
