Its ‘Friday 18 at noon pacific time’, for the record, that operation chokehold is to be launched against AT&T. The writer of the “The Secret Diary of The Steve Jobs” blog has urged the fans and readers to teach AT&T a lesson over the demeaning behavior of the company regarding the bandwidth engagement. The whole controversy stemmed from the fact that people loved the idea so much so that when a user of the site posted his concerns that the operation chokehold may interfere with the critical emergency services like 911, another reader viewed that, that should not be a matter of concern, after all if someone dies during operation chokehold he would have sacrificed his life for a good cause!
The whole idea is to choke AT&T’s network for one hour by storming the service with request for the applications that would require larger bandwidth usage. The whole operation is to be continued for 1 hour.
Fake Steve posted that the concept behind the ‘operation’ is to make the users voice heard at the higher echelons of AT&T about the poor quality of the service being provided.
Obviously and of course AT&T has vehemently opposed the whole idea and making hue and cry that the company is providing critical communication services etc.
Well don’t you think “The Secret Diary of The Steve Jobs” has achieved the objective even without launching the operation chokehold and for AT&T, had they heard what people are saying they would not have to fear anything. Their concern, in fact, shows that they know people are not satisfied with their services.
