The news is just in that all the disturbance of last year in Thailand and the demonstrations staged by People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) especially the ones that were staged at the Thailand International Airport were the workings of 12 “demon Statues”! The demonstrations forced the Government bend before the public demand. The business owners at the Airport have complained that the Demon Statues have brought bad luck to them. The airport serves Thai Orient Airways among others. The demon statue disrupted the business so much that the authorities have decided to remove them from their place even if they have to spend $55,000 on the venture. The official statement announced that the statues are being relocated to add to the beauty and attraction of new Thailand International Airports. However the insiders have confirmed that the statues are being relocated to raise the morale of all the people working at the airport.
Orient Thai Airways was known as Cambodia International Airlines and started with only two Boeing 727s. Orient Thai Airways has lost its popularity among the travelers because of the issues with its service and safety. Most popularized safety breach is related with the accident of Thai Orient Airlines Flight 269. As NTSB investigated into the incident they found many loopholes in the safety procedures and about the over worked pilots. Orient officials have consistently denied the charges but the airline has not been able to regain the confidence of travelers. I am sure relocating the demons would do the trick!
