Paint your wagon the famous musical movie released in nineteen hundred and sixty nine was acclaimed for its great cinematography. The cinematographer of the movie was William A. Fraker. He was praised by Hollywood’s big guns on his great work. This was his second biggest movie after Bullitt. His cinematography is considered to be magical. The way he portrayed the scenes of the movie paint your wagon was just awesome.
Sadly he passes away on the last day of May. He was suffering from cancer. He fought bravely with his disease and never gave up hope to live. He was being treated by expert doctors in a medical centre at Los Angeles. He was in his mid eighties .He has left behind his loving wife Denise. His whole family is very grieved on his death. His son also joined the showbiz industry as a cameraman.
He was nominated for the Oscar award thrice. He also received a life time achievement award from the American Society of cinematographers. He was also nominated for the best cinematographer in the Academy awards five times. He also directed some T.V series as well and theatrical movies. Paint your wagon was one of his favorites, it had a love triangle story in it. The movie was released in an era in which people did not have much attraction for musical films. The movie had a long list of songs in it. It had fourteen songs in it, the tracks of the movie had soft music and it was loved by the people. The main idea of the movie was inspired by a stage musical from nineteen hundred and fifty one.
