Humorous show of 90s intended to address teens; “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose” was air for three consecutive years from 1990 to 93 with 73 episodes to its credit. The sitcom’s idea was inspired by the film “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” Theme of the show was, not to give up on the face of adversity and lingers on the mind of people for its message. Produced by Columbia Pictures the main character of the show – Parker Lewis, was played by Corin Nemec.
The main character of the show “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose” always comes up with the ideas of achieving the goals. To hamper his progress his sister and the principal Musso are omnipresent. In its wake the show discussed the politics of the day, films and celeb stars.
Parker Lewis uses his catch words “Not a Problem” every now and then. In the last season he appears mature and the use of the phrase becomes lesser. He also settles down with one girlfriend that is Annie. Mikey is Lewis’ friend and is most emotional of the gang. The villain is principal Musso. Apart from living in a $600,000 house – which she hides from everyone, she presents the greatest obstacle to Lewis, plans along with Shelly – Lewis’ sister.
Though the show itself was good, it was not able to fetch high ratings perhaps because NBC itself was a new channel and haven’t gained much acceptance among audience.
