Ed Thomas was head coach of football team in a high school who has been shot within the boundary of school. This Parkersburg shooting happened inside the school when students were lifting the weights and it all happened in front of their eyes. Thomas was a high class coach of Iowa High School and was broadly considered the best coach in school football.
It seems that a former football player shot the Thomas. Although the investigations are still under process but it looks that the expected former player of football Mark Becker has been arrested by the police for further investigations. This story seems very tragic and the effects of this shooting can be felt throughout the Iowa High School.
There is only one positive point in this story is that all the students are safe and there are no injuries reported in this regards and suspect is also in the police custody. Des Moines said to media that the suspect shot Thomas at around 7:47 am in the morning while he was with the students in weight room where students were lifting the weights which was an off season exercise.
He further explained that Becker entered into the weight room which is situated at Parkersburg near high school at around 7:47 am and shot multiple fires on him with a handgun. There were around 30 students in the weight room lifting the weights when this all happened. All the students are safe and no one injured in this incident.
