Wind of worldwide recession has knocked the, Intel, Pat Gelsinger -senior VP of Intel’s enterprise group, is going to leave the company, after giving his precious 30 years, to take a new job at another high-tech company. Santa Clara, California-based Intel, the world’s leading manufacturer of computer processors is anticipated to expose a comprehensive management change on Monday, Sep, 14, 2009.
48 years old Patrick Gelsinger has been one of the regular executives at Intel’s IDF (Intel Developer Forum) proceedings over the last few years, as he has given his keynotes for details on Intel’s latest products to a less technical audience. His move will consequently show a chain of changes, in which the company’s current executives will take on more responsibilities. The main changes will occur in Sales and Marketing department as Chief Sean Maloney will take on the company’s chief chip business, while Davi Perlmutter will be taking over the charge of engineering for all chip sections, he is being promoted from his present position as the head of Intel’s laptop chip division. Apparently, these are the consequences of Pat Gelsinger’s departure from Intel after his long time services to the company.
This information is reported by some relative person but official statements have not been announced yet and it is expected on Monday but Intel, surely will remember, Gelsinger, for his Intel research activities and for capturing high positions in Intel.
