Patricia Cornwell, the author of best-seller crime novels, is fuming over her accountants and financial officers as she is out with $40 million. Patricia is getting mad at her account managers and has asked them to investigate where exactly did the money go?
Patricia Cornwell has always been making headlines, mostly for her best-selling novels which topped the books lists worldwide, but this time it is her anger at her finance management firm Block & Anchin LLP as a huge amount of money is missing and she doesn’t know where was the money spent? Block & Anchin is a finance management company based in New York. The firm, which specializes in ‘privately held business and high-net-worth individuals’, has been providing financial management services to Patricia Cornwell for quite some time. But now Patricia has sued the company claiming that she has lost a ‘sizeable’ amount of money due to the firm’s mismanagement.
Joan Lukey, an attorney based in Boston, is representing Cornwell in the case. Talking about her client Joan says, ‘Patricia has found this process to be very distracting and upsetting, but I think she has some level of comfort knowing that the lawsuit has been filed and is now in the hands of the court.’
The suit filed by Patricia Cornwell claims that Block & Anchin has not only mishandled her fortunes but of her wife’s as well. Block & Anchin is a reputed firm which has many high-profile clients such as Robert De Niro. The suit can bring a serious harm to the company’s image.
Patricia Cornwell is a high-profile lesbian who is married to Staci Gruber, a neuroscientist is Harvard. The couple lives in Massachusetts where gay and lesbian marriages were legalized in 2004. Cornwell recently embarked upon a book tour to promote her latest novel The Scarpetta Factor. The book is another best-seller of her.
