Patrick Wayne Swayze, an American actor, songwriter and a high profile dancer died at the age of 57 after a 20-month hard battle with pancreatic cancer on September 14, 2009.
Swayze got fame in his blockbuster films “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost”, his started his profession as a dancer for Disney on Parade. Before started his career in films, he starred as a substitute for Danny Zuko in the long-running Broadway production of Grease. He also performed as an actor and song writer in many TV series but his career boosted up with his performance in film “Dirty dancing”. This film was an unusual and striking combination of raw masculinity and incredible elegance”.
Swayze’s fought very valiantly against his pancreatic cancer, and he never let it shut him down. The type of cancer, he was suffering from was one of the deadliest cancers, it moves quickly in the whole body, but his willpower and his enthusiasm for life and his work was so strong that he launched a new A&E television series, “The Beast,” after the diagnosis of this disease, 20 months ago.
He spent his last days with his family, and he ended life peacefully and with self-esteem. Patrick Swayze’s wife Lisa and his brother Donny Swayze, were by his side when he died at his farm-house at the outer edge of Los Angeles. His wife reveals his personality by saying that he was so elegant and strong; he was a real cowboy with gentleness. He passed away peacefully but his friends, family, colleagues and his work department will face this big loss.
