PGAD Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder commonly described as pelvic tension is not related to sexual arousals. The research about the disorder is still in its infancy and there is a lot to understand or define about this disorder.
PGAD was earlier named PSAS Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome in medical terminology. The terminology was redefined as the problem is not sexual but it is a problem of genitals. In 2000 clinical literature surfaced about the problem, but it is believed that it is being faced by women since long.
PGAD has its symptoms and patient feels quite similar to sexual arousal except that it persists for longer than the sexual arousal. The arousal does not demise automatically. The condition could be attributed to non-sexual things or even to nothing. The tension remains there even after multiple orgasms. The disease could lead the surfer to impulsive orgasms without involving in the sexual act.
There are a number of causes for PGAD. Phyto-estrogens taken as diet are suggested as one of the causes of the disorder according a recent study but it lacks the documented support.
There are certain options for treatment of the problem. To educate the women having this problem would be first option as you must not think that it all is happening in your head. Secondly try to identify the stimulus and avoid them. Massaging the pelvic areas would be another option as massages relieve the tension in genitals.
Lastly do not hesitate to talk to your physician for medicine in this problem and do not try what ever gives relief.
