A tragic accident occurred when a plane of the polish president crashed. The plane crash took place earlier this day. The plane was carrying the president of Poland and many other high level commissions. The plane crash was reported to take place at the western Russian City of Smolensk. The Russian television network first broadcasted the news and reported that the plane crash was just a mile away from the runaway and crashed due to intense fog.
The aircraft tried several times to land the plane but couldn’t land it due to visibility issues. The plane was a Tu-154 jet aircraft. The plane crash took place at eleven in the morning according to Moscow time. The plane crash occurred right before landing at the Smolensk military airport. The number of deaths is still not confirmed but according to the officials eighty eight people have lost their lives. The intelligence bureau said that the plane was carrying around one hundred and thirty two people on board. The ministry of emergency situations has confirmed a death toll of ninety six people. The ministry spokesman said that nothing like this incident has ever been occurred in Poland.
In the plane crash the president Lech Kaczynski was accompanied with his family which included his wife and some of his top officials. The president of the National bank of Poland also lost his life that was also on board the aircraft. The investigation will continue to figure out the possible cause of the plane crash until now the reason of this crash is only being said that the severe fog conditions made it happen
