A Portage Township Schools member of the Board has called into question, the validness of a rental lease arrangement that might call for the district to take over and buy up the North-Shore Health clinic at the premises of the high school.
The extremity of the Board, C. Oprisko told the reporters on Monday that she actually plans on forcing over again for a skilled personnel, outside of the Northwestern Indiana to look up within the occur rent financial leasing arrangement, the premier leasing accord & the grant arrangement that facilitated in setting up the Stacy Mc-Kay Clinic at the Portage High School.
According to her, there ar a lot of affairs, within the documents, that she believes to be the red flag areas.
There remains an extreme worry over the clinic dilemma in the eyes of the Portage Township Schools Board. The clinic, which is owned by the North-Shore Health Cent. but is situated on the land possessed by the schoolhouse district, leaded off when the North-Shore suggested that the district could have bought the building previously than the current leasing arrangement states.
The district has been letting places in the building from the North-Shore since way back in the year of 2002, with all the money they have, to pay a loan that the North-Shore drew to assist in constructing the center.
The actual dissonance is o’er the balance of the money, which was utilized to build the center, even though. North-Shore, then recognized as the Portage Town-ship Community Health-Care Clinic, acquired a half a million dollars worth of grant from the Indiana Depart. of Health, that was specially, to go to the building of the clinic.
