Poudre School District closed due to snow storm. A fierce winter snow storm is likely to hit the town Fort Collins-Loveland before Thursday. National Weather service now predicts that the storm will form a snow carpet of 12-14 inches thickness. After the forecasts were released, Poudre School District cancelled all the class due to the snow storm.
It has been predicted by the weather agency that a storm will hit the northern Front Range area and will bring snow which is likely to make a thick snow carpet. The weather agencies have warned the residents to avoid travelling until Thursday evening as the snow fall will make the travel difficult. It is predicted that the storm will bring 10-18 inches of snow before it is expected to end on Thursday evening. National Weather Service has warned that due to the fierce snow travelling would be ‘difficult or even impossible’. The storm which began in the form of rain will turn into snow before it ends. The snow storm will also bring winds of 15-30 mph in the area. The storm and strong blows of winds are likely to make road conditions difficult. Though Fort Collins Street Department is gearing up its 20 snowplowing machines, motorists are advised not to bring cars on the roads. Due to the possible travelling difficulties, Poudre School District has announced cancellation of the classes. The Poudre School District officials have announced that school will remain closed until roads are not cleared from snow.
