I have a feeling, and it only gets stronger by the day, that pretty soon the entire entertainment industry on the main screen media is going to be saturated by reality shows. The latest such show to come out is Pretty Wild which will take the lives of three teenagers and turn them into something so full of drama that the entire population of America will be eating out of their hands. The show, which was premiered last night, gave an example of exactly how dramatic one’s life can be while living in Hollywood, though I have a feeling that is quite the contrary.
My gut tells me that like every other family in Hollywood the Neiers are just a little curious about what fame feels like and to get there, there isn’t a stone that they will leave unturned. The mother of the trio who was completely anti-reality TV before finally succumbed to the idea after considering the prospects it offered. In the world of today any TV is good publicity and the trio could be see ecstatic about the show being brought on air. Through this they will get contracts that they couldn’t have dreamed of before and I guess it pays off to sell out.
Pretty Wild, as the name of the show might hint, is going to be “Pretty Wild” for all those bored-out-of-their-wits teeny poppers who might find something to relate to on the show but for the rest its going to be just another brainless tease.
