The reviews about the PS3 network status are coming in mixed signals as the company states that the network problem has been resolved and that users might return to their gaming and downloading activities. The mixed factor about the reviews is that there are still some glitches in the system though the main problem of not being able to connect to the network has been resolved.
The PS3 network status was last updated on twitter around five hours ago and it said that the network service has been restored. This will come as a great sigh of relief for all those who were left network less for a whole two days. The network of the Playstation is used by millions of people all over the world as they use it to download movies and softwares directly from stores on the web.
The PS3 network status according to the company’s blog was still unresolved when last checked. They were advising the users to not turn their Playstations on until the issue was completely resolved saying that they needed another twenty-four hours to fix it entirely. So now I would imagine that the only way to get to the bottom of this is to turn on the Playstation 3 and find out first hand whether connection to the network has been resumed.
The problem behind the network error was that the console was considering this year, 2010, to be a leap year which caused it to miscalculate the date and hence disrupt network connection. As of now the user can go online and set the date and time and continue playing or downloading as he or she wishes.
