Pure Power Mouthguard is invented by Anil Makkar and is supposed to act temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Temporomandibular joint is dense area of nerves, tendons, and muscles, just at the end of jaws where the jaw bone is attached to the skull. The nerves in the area are deemed responsible for many problems like headaches, migraines, facial pains and even backache. Anil Makkar claims that as he treated professional players for the disorders related to the joint, the players reported improvement in many areas that were not directly related to the temporomandibular joints. As many players wear a mouthgurad to save their teeth, he came up with the idea of a special mouthguard, which is now named as Pure Power Mouthguard.
Anil Makkars website is full of praises for the miracle product and many players have been reported to have benefited from the product. Among the payers whose testimony is included on the website is Shaquille O’ Neal. Neal has been my favorite; even then I remain very skeptical about the product.
OK why is the product attracting so much traffic on the internet or otherwise – The Game between Saints and Falcons. As the Saints went on to win the game, the focus has shifted from the victory to Pure Power Mouthguard as the Saints players were wearing the device.
There is no scientifically designed placebo controlled, double blind study to support the claims. And it never will be. We have seen all this hocus pocus about Telemall products. Or better still another “Icelandic Power Blue”. Next in the line would be an under guard to make you a president of U.S.A.
