Wednesday 1st July 2009 an 8-1/2 ft long pet Python killed 2-year-old girl by strangling her in Florida. Python broke out of its terrarium and slithered in the bedroom of 2-year-old, boyfriend of child’s mother found the python in the bedroom of the kid wrapped around her, the man who also owns the python found snake bit marks on child’s head. Charles Jason Darnell 32-year-old boyfriend of child’s mother Jaren Hare, 19 was living together.
Charles Jason Darnell stabbed the snake quite some time to get free the child, Shaiunna Hare. The 2-year-old girl Shaiunna Hare was dead by the time paramedics reached.
Ownership of every pet is a responsibility that needs commitment, which includes protection for the people that comes in contact with that pet as well as pets its self, specially any exotic or dangerous pet, such as snakes. In this Florida case, the owner “Charles Jason Darnell” did not obtained the license for the snake and he could be charged under child endangerment act. Whereas according to Taxes law, if you want to own a Python or numerous other large dangerous pet you need to obtain a license.
In Florida atmosphere, not only a python can survive but can reach up to the length of over 25 ft and can weight over 195 lbs, which is a dangerous thing.
