A local court has directed the police to register an FIR (First Investigation Report) against actor Ravi Kishan, Item Girl Rakhi Sawant and a top official along with other 3 persons due to supposedly stealing the idea of wedding-based Television Reality Show named “Rakhi Ka Swayamvar” from a private portal.
Local Court took the action when the Jaipur-based owner of Swayamvar.com named “Gaurav Tiwari” filed a complaint against them on Tuesday.
Shilpa Sameer (Judicial Magistrate no 27) asked the “Karni Nager Police Station” to register First Investigation Report supposed to breach the exclusive rights by Stealing the idea of “Swayamvar” from the portal of a Pink City-based writer “Gaurav Tiwari”.
In addition to Ravi Kishan and Rakhi Sawant, the FIR is also registered against Gaurav Gandhi (Managing Director of Television Channel), Executive Director of the Reality Show “Rakhee Ka Swayamvar” and others 2 for their contribution in show.
Guarav Tiwari believed that the idea of weddings via “Swayamvar” was his self-intellectual property and patent in 2008 itself but Television channel begin the Reality Show by stealing concept from his web site “Swayamvar.com” as described in the complaint filed under section 156 (3) of CrPC. However, the Local Court has ordered the police to register an FIR in link with the grievance and inspect it.
