Ralph Macchio became known for his role in the Karate Kid films. Macchio honed his skills in T.V commercials before placing his foot in cinema and film industry. His early commercials include Bubble Yum. His black hair and innocent looks get him a role in a T.V series Eight is enough. He started appearing with all the child stars of his day. As Karate Kids films were conceived Macchio was the natural choice to appear in them. The series provided the boost to his career and he has never looked back.
He appears as Daniel Larusso’s character in the Karate Kid films. As Daniel’s parent move from one state to another, Daniel finds himself in an odd situation. He is constantly perturbed by the bullies in the school. The only way out is to get trained in Martial Arts.
In 1992 the film, My Cousin Vinny was released, Ralph Macchio played the role of a guy who has not committed a crime but has been wrongly charged for it. The film played a critical part in the young artist career. The film not only went on to be a hit movie but also was the artist’s first movie in an adult role. Macchio has also appeared in the HBO’s hit series Entourage. Meanwhile he has not stopped working for T.V commercials and has appeared in the ad of Vitamin Water.
Macchio is married and has a son and a daughter. Ralph Macchio’s parents own a ranch.
