Former model Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber have filed a case against an extortionist. According to the details, Edis Kayalar, an acquaintance of a former nanny hired by the couple, is black mailing them for money. The extortionist is threatening the couple that he would reveal a photo of their daughter, in which the 8-year-old is sitting on a chair in revealing clothes, to the media. Cindy and hubby Rande Gerber have already paid him $1,000 to keep the snap a secret but he is blaming the couple and has hence asked them to pay him more money otherwise he would show the pictures to the media.
According to the representative of Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber have become the victims of the scam in which the acquaintance of the nanny Edis Kayalar has taken the photo without their knowledge is now black mailing them to get money from the couple. The rep said that the snap was taken without the knowledge of Cindy. Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford have contacted with the FBI and have filed a case. Edi Kayalar who has now been deported to Germany has not stopped his threats. According to the reports, Edis Kayalar has once been charged with the extortion and if charged again the court can sentence him for two year imprisonment.
Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber got married in 1998. The couple has two children, an 8-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son.
