Randy Smith is all time favorite hero of the State of Buffalo and is the most popular athletic player in the history of Buffalo Braves. His previous team fellow and friends say that he has died all of a sudden on Thursday in Connecticut. It looks like he had a heart attack during a walk in his house in Norwich.
Durie Burns told to the media who is a teammate to Smith from the Buffalo State, Smith’s wife told me that she had learned a lot from the death of Smith. Burns is living in Orange Park Fla said that I am still in shock. He said I and my wife were together with Smith and his wife on the celebration of 78th birthday of his mother in North Carolina and it is not a long time back event.
The former coach of basketball team for Buffalo State said that it is really very difficult to believe that the person like Smith has passed away who was a very special player and best athlete Buffalo would ever had. To me he was an extra ordinary athlete in my life and no doubt a very special person as well. He was the one who could do whatever he wanted to do.
In 1967 Smith first time came to Buffalo and participated in a high school of the state for track race. By making a 6 feet 6 inches high jump, he won the first award. Due to this Buffalo State employed him where he showed his best in all the fields of athletic.
