David Letterman who revealed his intimate relationship history with his female staff members, acknowledge his fault and apologized on air this Monday during “Late Night Show”, he said he hurt his wife awfully, he vowed to put together and fix his relationship with his wife, “I’ve got my work cut out for me”. Last March David Letterman and Regina married after a long time relationship.
Remarks came from David Letterman about his wife Regina at the start of the program; this is the first time since last Thursday that he spoke publicly, last week on Thursday during a live taping “Late Night Show” he revealed the details of an extortion attempt, regarding his sexual relationships with his female staff members.
Letterman also seek apology of his staff, specially from those whom he hurt badly by exposing the reality of his life publicly, he said he is extremely sorry to put his staff in this situation, classifying his fault as unintentional, he said this happened because he was not thinking ahead. He was also thankful to the staff for all their support and for putting up with his stupid mistake, he got himself involved in.
He also told the audience that this is only the first phase of his scandal; he said he will be visiting Oprah and sob next week as phase 2.
Although David Letterman told the audience last Thursday the he just can hope not to comment any further on the despicable incident, details of his personal relationship with his female subordinates and especially his assistant and that his future in CBS Television Network is subject of extreme media analysis.
