The Republicans have spontaneously responded to the Obama’s State of the Union address. The Governor of Virginia Bob Mcdonnel has expressed the republican concern over the rising level of unemployment in United States. He said the every one out of ten Americans has lost his job and this is alarming and unacceptable. He said that Virginians are facing the highest unemployment rates over last 25 years and the foremost duty of the Govt. is to provide respectable jobs to people and restore their dignity.
Republican response to Obama’s speech is in short is a demand to do more. Mcdonnel suggested low taxation to encourage the private sector for job creation. He criticized the deficit financing of the Govt. as it is increasing the debt day by day. He said that people want to see the results of the policies that are not visible. He also criticized the federal Govt.’s measure to gain more control over banks and industries and added that it will the freedom of people. United States must remain a land of opportunity. He applauded the deployment of an additional force of 30,000 in Afghanistan but regretted the Govt.’s inability to control terrorism.
Bobby Jindal the governor of Louisiana offered Republican Help to the President to meet the challenge. He also memorized the United States as a land of opportunity while relating the experience of his parents. He said Americans can do everything and they can meet the challenge. He expressed his concern over ongoing unemployment rate. Republican response to the Obama’s speech shows the concern of GOP over the mishandling of economy. Relating about how Americans responded to the hurricane Katrina he said during the times of crisis regulations should be somewhat relaxed. He said Govt. should lower taxes and lower deficit spending. He said partisan politics should be left aside.
In short the Republican response to the Obama’s address offers cooperation to the President. Republicans advocate less govt. spending, low taxes, less energy prices, more education opportunities and fighting the terrorism.
