The return of the Living Dead is 1985 horror/ thriller / comedy. The amalgam of comedy was so good that several sequels followed.
As a Freddy joins Uneeda – a ware house, he is told by Frank that the film “Night of the Living Dead” is based on true events that happened when a poisonous gas 2.4.5 Trioxin leaked making the dead body’s to jerk. Freddy does not believe this, so he is lead to the basement where two of the coffins have been stored with the dead bodies in them. Frank in his effort to show that the coffins are leak proof pats the coffin. The action results in the leakage of Trioxin and HAVOC ENSUES.
Frank and Freddy are knocked out and the gas is shown escaping. As the gas escapes into the ware house it makes dead bodies of animals, insects and humans to come to life again. The bodies coming to life again are turned into zombies. Human brain is zombies’ favorite food. It is revealed in the film that eating brain relieves the pain of the rotting bodies. As there is no way to silence the shaking dead bodies nearby mortuary is contacted. As the bodies are burnt the smoke escapes to the clouds. The resulting rain seeps into the dead bodies in the graveyard, transforming them into zombies.
The paramedics arriving on the scene have their brains eaten by the brain hungry zombies. As the situation gets totally out of control a mini nuclear explosion is planned which curtails the mayhem …well to some extent.
