Richard Branson has a dream of commercial space tourism by making it financially viable and affordable to all people. Richard Branson and Burt Rutan have worked on the project to make the dream a reality.
The commercial space travel pioneers have introduced the VSS Enterprise which is the first commercial spaceship in the world. The spaceship impressed everyone who had come to see it. It is expected that the commercial space flights may start in 2011 after tests next year. People from all over the world who had the dream of space flight gathered at the place where the space pioneers had unveiled the first commercial spacecraft. The VSS Enterprise came in to the visual frame of the eager audience to satisfy the curious eyes of the people who had gathered at the Mojave Air and Space Port which is some hundred miles north of Los Angeles. The models of the spacecraft had already been released but this was the “virgin look” of the dream spacecraft.
When the spacecraft was unveiled, it was linked to its carrier aircraft. The carrier aircraft will carry the spacecraft up to the boundary of space which is a point above the earth with an altitude of around sixty miles. At this point, the carrier plane will release the spacecraft and further penetration of the spaceship in to the space will be done by the rocket thrust. The spaceship can accommodate six passengers and two pilots. The space travelers will not only observe the spherical shape of the earth but also feel the weightlessness.
