Roatan Earthquake

Roatan earthquake clatter nerves of divers. Roatan Honduras was hit by the earthquake a 7.1 magnitude was recorded on the rector scale. The Caribbean region Roatan earthquake hit the area at 2:24 a.m. 28th May Yesterday, scuba-diving tourists near the point of the earth’s surface directly above the focus of an earthquake “Epicenter” on the island of Roatan Honduras escape from house and those on the lower-west end ran towards the hills employees of the scuba-diving and the residents also went towards safe positions.

According to the owner of Coconut Tree Divers P.J Rowntree, many of the people ran to the safety in their night cloths, everyone got out of their houses immediately. Coconut Tree Divers on the small island named as “Roatan” is away from Honduras, and this part of the island is badly damaged by the earthquake.

The point for the earthquake was detected beyond Honduras. Roatan earthquake killed at-least two and collapses more than 24 homes in Roatan, Honduras and north of Belize. Ulua River Bridge in Honduras was also collapsed. Ulua River is the largest river of the region. On the other hand the Belize area has also been affected by the earthquake, Belize is also a well known area for diving and fly-fishing.

The point for the Roatan earthquake was offshore and was not so destructive, but many roads and lot of area was cracked in the region.
