Robert F. Brookins was born in Sacramento, California 1965. Robert is a multi-talented guy he not only can sing but he can write song, can produce musician, he can also arranger and producer music. He started singing at the age of 4, started playing the drums when he was 5 learned keyboards playing by the age of 9. He formed his band by the name of “little Robert & the Fondeles” when he was only 11 years old. They were young and they were talented they have won the Motown’s Soul Search Contest in 1974.
Seven years after finishing the school Robert and his brother Michael created the band “Afterbach” and sang lead vocals on the ARC Columbia album Maurice and Verdine White of Earth, Wind And Fire. Robert and his group “Afterbach” said good bye to Matinee in 1981. During the midd of 80′s an album was produced in which teenage Robert performs in front of Ronald Reagan at the white house in Washington before he became a famous producer in east and west coast of America.
In the album of George Duke in 1986 Robert was the featured singer in the same year he signed a contract with MCA as a solo singer this was the debut solo album of Robert the Stephanie Mills duet In the night. His next album came in 1988 in this album this album also included another duet with Stephanie Mills the song called “Where is Love”. Being a writer and producer Robert had worked with The Reddings, Bobby Brown Jackie Jackson, Stephanie Mills, Deniece Williams, Jeffrey Osborne and The Whispers. Robert has also recorded keyboards with the late George Howard and Roy Ayers.
