The National League Division Series match between “Rockies and Phillies” was postponed due to extreme cold weather on Saturday, Game 3 of National League baseball playoff series set to be played on Sunday night in Denver, Colorado. The game is set to start at 10:00 P.M on Sunday, when Rockies take on Phillies after a tied score of 1-1 in National League’s best of five series.
3rd Match of the series was set to be played on Saturday but was postponed due to a frosty and stormy night; players were breathing out smoke due to cold. After a chilly Saturday, Philadelphia Phillies and Colorado Rockies set to play the pending game 3 on Sunday night at Coors Field.
Coach and players from both teams were dressed like they are going to spent this day on the snowy mountains, it sure does not look like a match night because players’ breaths whirled around them like smoke. Players in the dugout wore extra gear to stay warm in tried to stay near heaters for warmth.
Overall it was a night to remember, first pitch was thrown 8 minutes passed eight, temperature at that time was near 35 degrees, it looked like the 1997 world series game when Cleveland hosted Florida in the fourth game of the series.
Defending World Champions took a 2-1 lead even in freezing night, game started with extremely cold weather and finished past midnight, now Phillies are one step ahead then Rockies in the best of five series and they will try to wrap this series up in Mondays night game. Phillies are determined to send Cliff Lee “winner of first game” to face Ubaldo Jimenez.
