Ron Washington is an American Baseball Coach. He was born on twenty-nine April in 1952.He started his career as a baseball player for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He later played for Baltimore and Houston Astros. He was also playing for the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians till 1989.
He played as a middle infielder in his baseball career. After he retired as a baseball player he decided to move on and he worked for the New York Mets for 5 years. He was hired by the A’s as a coach. He was working as a coach for the third base between 1997-06. Ron Washington was known as the best coach for the A’s. They also appreciated him in a book published about the success stories of the team and Ron Washington was highly thanked for his support and contribution in the team. In 2006 he was hired by the Texas rangers to manage their team.
Ron Washington was accused of using cocaine while the Major League Baseball. He was drug tested and the result was positive. He said in a press conference that he was very ashamed of his act and doesn’t know how to make an excuse. These mistakes could danger the career of Ron Washington or even finish his career for which he has worked for so many years. He apologized to the Texas Rangers. He said that he used cocaine for the first time. The Texas Rangers did not fire him instead they gave him an extension to his contract and he was thankful to the manager for letting him keep on the team
