Senator Chuck Grassley from the state of Iowa has initiated an investigation into the spending of funds by the charity organization the “Boys and Girls Clubs” after the president and Chief Executive Officer of the group Roxanne Spillett was discovered to rake a total of nine hundred and eighty-eight thousand dollars in the single year of 2008. The motto of the club makes the donators believe that the money will go to the benefit of the children but the opposite of that has been proven with the findings of the yearly salary that Roxanne Spillett brings home.
The basic salary that the club is giving Roxanne Spillett amounts to three hundred and sixty thousand dollars while on top of which she receives bonuses and more than one compensation. The bonus she got for the annum 2008 amounted to a hundred and fifty thousand dollars and that’s not all! She received two different compensations the same year, the regular compensation which amounted to eighty-three thousand dollars while another compensation which went under the title of ‘deferred compensation’ which allocated three hundred and eighty-five thousand dollars to her. Most of the money goes to her retirement plan and now the donators are beginning to have second thoughts about the charity group.
The information which was released about Roxanne’s salary has made a huge impact on the group as it prepared for its national week of recognition which will start from the twenty-first day of this month and last till the twenty-seventh day. I hope the investigation leads to the proper prosecution of this fraudulent person and convicts her for all that she has deprived the youths of the nations of.
