President Obama’s Safe Schools Czar is a controversial figure. The experts are highly annoyed at the appointment of Kevin Jennings as the director of Safe and Drug free Schools. They are criticizing his appointment because there is a big question mark on his credentials.
He has been encouraging homosexuality in schools and uttered blasphemous statements. He has been an addict as well. Kevin Jennings has been in teaching profession and has the history of putting a minor’s sexual relationship with adults under the carpet as he took no requisite action. He is an atheist and hates religion. The appointment of Kevin Jennings also created discomfort among Conservatives and they considered him as too “biased” for the job. But he has some positive credentials as well. The main reason behind his appointment was his strict action against violence and racism in schools. He came with the idea of separate schools for Gays and lesbians and established GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Educational Network).
He is an author as well and has written many books on Gay rights as well as Educating Homosexuality to children. He himself is a gay and this is the basic reason behind the above-mentioned ideology. He also wrote his biography and revealed his homosexual adventures. The critics are arguing that he has been chosen for the position to make schools a safer place and if his credentials and past experience are viewed closely, he will certainly provide safety at schools but to “homosexuals”. This is what the term “Safe Schools” means for him.
