Carmina Salicdo has a horrible story to tell. She is reminded of her sister, mother and other daughters who saw the most deadly fate twenty years back. On their twentieth anniversary, she will place flowers on their final abode. She recalls the sequence of the murders his father committed. He killed her four sisters and her mother along with two other relatives. Carmina was the only and the lucky one to survive the rampage. Carmina was adopted by a couple in Missouri.
She describes the horrifying story of his father’s brutal act how he killed her mother, and sisters one by one with a sharp knife. He slaughtered them like sheep and there was blood all over the place. He not only cut them but sliced them in to pieces. She tells that her survival was quite miraculous and he was just going to cut her throat but she put resistance to him and eventually his knife missed the throat due to her resistance to the knife with her hands. Her hands were bleeding due to the struggle she put. Eventually, he threw her on the flour along with the other dead bodies of her sisters and mother. The people faced enormous distress and unease until the Salcido was captured few days after the killings. Court sentenced him to death and Supreme Court upheld the lower court’s decision. He is waiting for the execution of the death penalty.
The most interesting thing about the deadly event is the mystery what was the motive behind this killings as the murderer did not have any criminal record nor such impression people had about him. People knew him as a very nice person. The irony of the incident is that it still remains a mystery why he killed them.
