Sunday 31st May, 2009 authorities have detained Scott Roeder a Merriam, Kansas resident to be suspected as a killer of Dr. George Tiller a delayed term abortion performer at his church. The 51-year-old Scott Roeder has been apprehended by yet not officially charged.
Scott Roeder is the resident of Johnson County Merriam, Kansas according to authorities of Kansas his vehicle was stopped in 1996 for not having an official license plate. According to Scott Roeder he distorted the license plate as an anti-government protest act. FBI said that they have alleged Scott Roeder to have links with the militia group known as Montana Freeman. The militia group apparently having some disagreements with the authorities. Whereas the only links found of Scott Roeder with the militia group is that he has been messaging on groups’ public forum at the operation rescue website.
Shooter who suspected to be Scott Roeder was stopped within minutes of shooting outside Johnson County, Kansas. The killer was charged with one charge of Murder and 2 counts of aggravated assault on two other adults who were at the church at whom killer pointed the gun. Dr. George Tiller was also shot in early 90’s by an abortion opponent.
Scott Roeder has commended that handful of people who support delayed term abortion performer but come into sight to have never been associate of any legal pro-life group that symbolize the mainstream of pro-life Americans.
Scott Roeder is suspected to be charged with one charge of Murder and 2 counts of aggravated assault on two other adults today on Monday 1st June, 2009.
There were many agents and officers were present at the home of Dr. George Tiller for many hours on Sunday afternoon. According to the FBI the investigation could go on for numerous days.
