A Sea World whale attack killed a trainer today in an unexpected horror show when the whale came up from behind the trainer and took hold of her. The trainer was a part of the twenty-eight member team of trainers which is meant to take care of and do shows with the killer whales. The Sea World whale attack was seen by a number of audience who were being briefed by the trainer at the time. The introduction of the show includes some safety tips and some general information regarding killer whales, it was during this introductory speech that the Sea World whale attack took place and caught the trainer completely off guard.
The whale, who is called Shamu by the trainers, came up from behind the trainer after taking a small quick round of the pool and grabbed the trainer by the waist. After being grabbed the whale thrashed the trainer in an extremely violent manner, in fact the intensity of the violence was of such magnitude that one of the trainers shoes had been knocked off her feet and it could be seen in the water.
An eye witness to the gruesome incident said that the people who unfortunately got to see the event could be seen in a state of shock and disbelief as the covered their mouths with their hands at what had just occurred. The Sea World whale attack triggered the sirens and the alarm system of the park and the guests were made to leave. An incident of similar nature took place before as well not forty years ago when another trainer had been assaulted by the killer whale though this time the consequences were deadly as paramedics could not revive the trainer.
