Sean Lennon and Girlfriend repeated the history, when Sean has recreated the award winning photo of his parents, Yoko Ono and the great John Lennon, for the Rolling Stone cover. The photo was taken just few hours before the murder of John Lennon back in 1980 by the famous photographer Annie Leibovitz. The only difference between the historic Rolling Stone picture and the recreation of son Sean Lennon is that in the historic picture Yoko Ono is having her cloths on and John Lennon is naked, whereas Sean Lennon and girlfriend “model Kemp Muhl” flipped the roles in the re-creation, in the recreation Sean Lennon is fully clothed where as his girlfriend is completely without clothes for the photo.
According to Huffington Post the re-created photograph will be published in the fall issue of independent French style publication Purple.
The original picture snapped initially correlated with the release of Yoko Ono and the great John Lennon’s first album together in five years “Double Fantasy”. John Lennon was shot just few hours after this photograph was taken; he was shot by Mark David Chapman right outside the couple’s apartment building situated in NYC.
This historic photograph was later published on the Rolling Stone magazine in 1981.
